Covered Head 2 Toe's goal is to teach the skills that will allow clients to become socially responsible and foster excellence in their community by providing the skills and tools they need to build a successful and productive future.
For the last two years, Covered Head 2 Toe was able to donate over 200 turkeys to low-income families during the Thanksgiving holiday. Over the next few years, we hope to increase that donation. and add to our mission to support low-income and homeless families by expanding our services and programs with accessibility to employment and housing.

Ellen McKay, is the Founder and President of Covered Head 2 Toe, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals in need. With over two decades of experience in human resources, Ellen has also served as an administrative assistant in the educational field. Her unwavering commitment to helping others is evident in her professional endeavors and community involvement. Through Covered Head 2 Toe, Ellen focuses on providing essential resources and support to underserved populations, including low-income families, seniors, and the homeless.
Dr. TaKayla S. Wheatley DBA, MBA, MHRM, is an accomplished finance and education professional with over 10 years of experience in higher education leadership, student financial services, and business management instruction. She has held key roles at Northwestern University and the City Colleges of Chicago. Dr. Wheatley combines academic expertise with practical experience, empowering students in business, human resources, and project management.
Andre Bell is a dedicated community leader and Director at Covered Head 2 Toe. With over four years of experience working in the school system as a custodian, Andre gained a deep understanding of the importance of mentorship and consistency in young people’s lives. Today, he is the proud owner of a successful transportation company and continues to give back by helping young teenagers and men develop into responsible, confident adults.
Tuwanua Stewart is a seasoned banking professional with over 12 years of experience in the financial industry. As a Director and Board Member of Covered Head 2 Toe, she brings her leadership and compassion to the forefront of community service. Tuwanua is passionate about supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse, offering them hope, resources, and a path to healing.
Maria Jackson has over two decades of experience in banking and finance, Maria brings a strong foundation in leadership, strategic planning, and financial stewardship to her role. Her background enhances the organization’s ability to expand community outreach, develop impactful programs, and launch initiatives program. Maria’s commitment to service, dignity, and empowerment drives her work as she continues to build Covered Head 2 Toe into a trusted resource for those in need.
